The Opportunity

Accessibility is a competitive advantage.

The short-term rental market is saturated, yet less than 1% of listings are verified as truly accessible. The data shows exactly who is looking.

Understanding Travelers

Most travelers who need accessible design don't identify as disabled.

They prioritize safety, ease of entry, and intuitive layouts. When listings show steep stairs, narrow bathrooms, or difficult access, those travelers move on — often quietly and without explanation.

Travelers with mobility disabilities go on leisure trips with nearly the same frequency as those without mobility issues. They're not a niche — they're a significant, underserved market.

The Multiplier Effect

Accessibility decisions in multigenerational travel are driven by the person with the most limited mobility. One inaccessible feature can eliminate an otherwise perfect property for an entire group planning a vacation or reunion.

Benefits for Hosts

Move from competing with every listing to the top 1–5%.

Accessibility and universal design are smart positioning in a saturated market.

Higher occupancy rates

Accessible listings consistently outperform standard rentals in occupancy, drawing guests who actively seek verified, trustworthy accommodations.

Longer stays & multigenerational bookings

Families traveling with elderly parents or guests with mobility needs tend to book longer and plan further in advance, filling your calendar more reliably.

More off-season bookings

Accessible travelers often have more flexibility in when they travel, helping you maintain strong booking rates even outside of peak seasons.

Command premium nightly rates

Verified accessible properties justify higher rates. Guests pay a premium for verified accessibility because truly compliant rentals are rare.

Increased guest loyalty

When guests with accessibility needs find a place that truly works for them, they come back. Repeat bookings from loyal guests reduce your reliance on platform algorithms.

Access to underserved markets

Over 61 million Americans have a disability. Most have never had a reliable way to find truly accessible short-term rentals — until now.

Reduced liability & improved safety

Proactively addressing accessibility reduces the risk of accidents, complaints, and liability claims — protecting your property and your reputation.

About Us

We found a way to bridge the gap.

STAYABILITY was created by Avi and Ita — passionate travelers who noticed how often vacation rentals unintentionally exclude guests with mobility challenges, temporary injuries, or age-related needs. That gap creates frustration for travelers and missed opportunities for hosts.
